Captain's drive
As usual our new Captain, Norman Jamison, performed the Captain's Drive.
There were great expectations on this one, but unfortunately the ball carried into
the first cut of rough. However the drive still managed to travel 227 yards. The
winner of the "guess the distance" was Mike D Smith with 228 yards.

Overall winner
The overall winner was Peter Holmes
with 42 points off a reduced handicap of 24. This will be reduced further at the
next
event. I have it on good authority that he won the following Monday Seniors'
Stableford at Mellor with 39 points over 15 holes.

Division 1
The division split was at 18, and the winner of Division 1
was Tim Whitehead.

Division 2
Division 2 was won by Mike Hughes. Both Division Winners are no doubt looking
forward to having one less shot in the next competition.
