Houghwood - 18th April 2013
The first event of the 2013 season was for the
Arthur Jackson Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at
Houghwood Golf Club. Yet again the attendance was very good with 28 players in
total, 27 members and 1 guest. Conditions were very windy and this was reflected
in the scores.

Captain's drive
Chih Hu is the new Captain and he was somewhat concerned before his drive.
However his fears were unfounded and the drive landed in the light rough to the
right of the fairway some 141 yards away.

Guess The Distance
Mario took the purse for the guess the distance.

Overall winner
The overall winner was Peter Walters
with 32 points off a reduced handicap of 11. Peter is carrying a 2 point reduction
from last year.

Division 1
The division split was at 18, and the winner of Division 1
was Mark Saxon with 30 points off a reduced handicap of 18.

Division 2
Division 2 was won by Carl Everitt
on a card play off against Barry Pendlebury He had 31 points off a handicap of 22.
This is Carl's first event as a society member. He has previously played with
the society as Mario's guest.

Plate 2012
The plate competition for 2012 was completed too late for
presentation at any of the events for that year. Peter Walters was the winner.
