Reddish Vale - 24th April 2014
The first event of the 2014 season was for the
Arthur Jackson Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at
Reddish Vale Golf Club. The weather remained remarkably good, and although it
looked as though we might have rain it remained dry, and mostly sunny. As with
most recent events attendance was very good with 28 players taking part.

Captain's drive
Nigel
Harris is this year's captain and there were great expectations for this drive.
We were not disappointed because Nigel's drive was measured at 241 yards. He did
have the advantage that the hole sloped downhill, but it was still a magnificent
effort. The winner of the guess the distance was Brendon Poynts.

with 35 points off a reduced handicap of 11.

The division split was at 17, and the winner of Division 1
was Paul Higgs with 34 points off a reduced handicap of 8.

Division 2 was won by
Peter Holmes
on a card play off against Chih Hu He had 31 points off a reduced
handicap of 23.
