Didsbury - 25th April 2019

The first event of the 2019 season was for the Arthur Jackson Trophy, an 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Didsbury Golf Club. The weather was a bit of a mixed bag with a couple of short thunderstorms during the afternoon to add a little excitement.

Captain's drive

Didsbury starts with a par 3 so the object was to get as close to the pin as possible. Unfortunately Gareth managed to land in the front right bunker.

Winners

Overall winner
The overall winner was Steve Marshall, with 35 points off a reduced handicap of 4. This was yet another remarkably consistent display from Steve with 2 birdies, 3 bogies and no blobs.

Division 1 The division split was at 19, and the winner of Division 1 was Ray Dowson, with 27 points off a reduced handicap of 19 .		Division 2 Division 2 was won by Barry Pendlebury, with 34 points playing off a reduced handicap of 20. Barry won the division 2 prize for the last qualifying event in 2018.

There was one two for Ray Dowson at the 18th.		Barry Pendlebury won the nearest the pin competition.
