Chapel-en-le-Frith - 31st May 2018

The second event of the 2018 season was for the President's Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club. There was a field of 24 players, one of whom was a guest. It was a pleasant sunny afternoon with no significant wind, but the scores were not exceptional. A lot of people were caught out by the pace of the greens which were slower than expected.

Winners

	Overall winner The overall winner was Hamish MacKay with 35 points playing off a handicap reduced by 1 shot to 16.

Division 1 The division split was at 17, and the winner of Division 1 was Tim Spencer with 31 points. Tim was carrying a 3 shot reduction and can now look forward to an extra shot reduction at the next event.		Division 2 Division 2 was won by Steve Shepherd with 33 points off a handicap of 25.

Twos

George Maddison had a 2 at the 9th.

Nearest The Pin

Tim Spencer kindly provided prizes for nearest the pin at the 9th and the 15th. Peter Walters won the prize for the 9th, and Brendon Poynts won the prize for the 15th. Unfortunately Brendon was in some discomfort at the end of the competition, and he didn't attend the dinner or the presentation.
