The third event of the 2023 season was for the TT Jackson Trophy, an 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Haydock Park Golf Club. There were 17 members competing and the the weather was a very pleasant. The day was finished with a meal which included braised steak and mash was well received and the sharp eyed recognised the caterers as theose that had served us at Rochdale.
Overall winner The overall winner was Nigel Ghani, with 36 points. His handicap index was14.6 with a playing handicap of 17. Nigel is a new society member and this is only his second event. Well done Nigel you can now look forward to playing with a two stroke penalty for a year.
Division 1 The division split was at 28, and the winner of Division 1 was Barry Pendlebury, with 34 points off a playing handicap of 25.
Division 2 Ian Mills won Division 2 with 36 points off a playing handicap of 35 .
