Overall winner
The overall winner was
Mario Capostagno with a magnificent 39 points off handicap of
22. It was quite fitting that he should win the trophy because it was his
birthday. Chih had very kindly arranged a surprise for Mario, and presented him
with two birthday cakes.

Division 1
The division split was at 19, and the winner of Division 1
was Tim Spencer with 38 points off a handicap of 16. Not only did Tim win
the Division 1 prize but he also managed a hole-in-one.

Division 2
Division 2 was won by this George Maddison
with 35 points off a handicap of 26.

Nearest the pin.
There were nearest the pin prizes on two holes the 1st and the 18th. George Maddison won the one on
the 1st, and Carl Everitt the one on the 18th. Both finished up 16 inches from the hole.

Hole-in-one
Tim Spencer had a hole-in-one on the 4th. This was Tim's second hole-in-one in
society events. His first was some years ago when playing a society knockout
against Paul Friday at Chapel-en-le-Frith. This was Tim's third hole-in-one overall.

Eddie MacDonald.
