The final qualifying event for the Order of Merit was the Guy Ferguson Trophy
played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Aston-under-Lyne Golf Club.

The overall winner was
Tim Spencer with 38 points off a handicap of 18. Tim started slowly
with only 15 points on the outward nine. He excelled on the back nine with 3 points on
five of the holes, and no dropped shots. |

Division 1
The division split was at 17, and the winner of
Division 1
was Norman Jamison with 35 points off a handicap of 12.

Division 2
The winner of Division 2 with
37 points off a reduced handicap of 21 was Peter Holmes.
This enabled Peter to clinch the Order of Merit.
