Astbury - 21st September 2023

The final event for the season was The Peter MurphyTrophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Astbury Golf Club. The afternoon was bright and sunny but the weather leading up to the event had been very wet and as a result conditions underfoot were somewhat soggy. Unfortunately for some buggies were not allowed and they had to miss out on the competition.

Winners

Overall Winner
The overall winner was Mark Saxon with a magnificent 40 points. His handicap index was 22.2, and course handicap 26.

Division 1 The division split was at 26, and the winner of Division 1 was Nigel Harris, with 35 points off a playing handicap of 15, handicap index 13.1.		Division 2 Division 2 was won by Tim Spencer with 36 points, off a handicap index of 25.2 and a playing handicap of 29.

Twos

Nigel Harris had a two at the 15th

Nearest the pin and nearest the pin in 2.

Paul Higgs won both of these.
