Worsley - 27th April 2017

The first event of the 2017 season was for the Arthur Jackson Trophy, played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Worsley Golf Club. It remained dry for the event and scoring was generally quite good.

			Captain's drive Unfortunately the first drive from our new Captain Andy Benn ended up out of bounds. Here he is hitting his second which finished up at 179 yards.

Winners

	Overall winner The overall winner was Paul Higgs, with 37 points off a reduced handicap of 10.He scored exceptionally well with 22 points on the first 9 holes. This included 2 birdies. Sadly for Paul he now gets a further reduction at the next event, but he does lose one of his penalty strokes from last year.

Division 1 The division split was at 19, and the winner of Division 1 was Gareth Perry, with 33 points off a handicap of 16.		Division 2 Division 2 was won by Mark Saxon, with 36 points playing off a reduced handicap of 20.

Twos
There were twos for Ian Horton and Mark Saxon. Ian had to leave before the presentation but here is Mark receiving his share of the money.

Ray Dowson got the closest to win the pot for guessing the length of the Captain's Drive.
