Mellor & Townscliffe - 18th May 2012

The second event of the 2012 season was for the President's Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Mellor & Townscliffe Golf Club. The day turned out to be rather windy and this seemed to affect most of the scores, apart from the magnificent score achieved by the overall winner.

Winners

	Overall winner The overall winner was Gary Stewart with 39 points off a handicap of 18. A creditable score which together with the High Legh result puts Gary in lead for the Order of Merit.

Division 1 The division 1 split was again at 17. The result was a card play off between Nigel Harris and Tim Spencer. Despite a magnificent first nine of 21 points Nigel could only manage 12 on the back nine. Tim Spencer was the winnner with a more consitent performance of 17 out and 16 back.		Division 2 Division 2 was won by Karl Hendrickx with 35 points off a handicap of 25. This is Karl's second score of 35 points, and he is closely behind Gary in the OOM.
