New Mills - 31st May 2016

The second event of the 2016 season was for the President's Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at New Mills Golf Club. The field was somewhat smaller than usual, but the weather was fine and the course was in good condition.

Winners

		Overall winner The overall winner was George Maddison with 35 points playing off a handicap reduced by 1 shot to 27. George just managed to pip Andy Benn on a card play off.

Division 1 The division split was at 16, and the winner of Division 1 again on a card play off was Tim Spencer with 31 points off a handicap reduced by 3 shots to 15. Sorry Gareth this was very close with the back 6 deciding the winner.		Division 2 Division 2 was won by Andy Benn with 35 points off a handicap of 21. Andy was very close to being the overall winner, but George managed a 4 pointer on the last hole to clinch victory.

	Yet again our nearest the pin specialist Andy Millington secured the prize. His record for this season is 100%, but on both occasions he has failed to get a 2.

Twos There were three twos, at the 4th for Pete Holmes, the 6th for Peter Walters, and the 16th for Ken Barnes. They each received £16 as their share of the pot.
