The second event of the 2019 season was for the President's Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Vicars Cross Golf Club. There were 21 society members competing for the trophy. It was yet another fine day for golf being mainly sunny with very little wind.
Overall winner The overall winner was Mark Saxon with 37 points playing off a handicap of 22. He was the winner of this competition the last time it was played at Vicars Cross.
Division 1 The division split was at 19, and the winner of Division 1 was Peter Wharton with 34 points off a handicap reduced by 2 strokes to 19.
Division 2 Division 2 was won by Chih Hu with 30 points off a handicap of 29.
Steve Marshall had twos at the 15th and 18th and Nigel Harris had a 1 at the 8th.
Gareth provided a bottle of wine for the nearest the pin competition which was won by Peter Walters.
