Keighley - 6th July 2011
The fourth event of the 2011 season was for the
Captain's Trophy played over 18 holes
stableford off full handicap at Keighley Golf Club.
The event was well attended like all events this season. In the morning we had some rain early on but this subsided. The afternoon was somewhat more varied with rain,
sunshine and some rumbles of thunder. There was a deluge at the end which soaked
the late finishers.
The Fujitsu Golf Society Members were outshone by their guests. Three of the guests managed to get better scores than our winner. One of the guests
won the longest drive, and another got a two.

Overall winner
The overall winner was Nigel Harris with
34 points off a reduced handicap of 15. This is the fourth time Nigel has won
this trophy. It his second win this year. He also managed to win the last event
of 2010 which was the Peter Murphy Trophy. No doubt Nigel is looking
forward to a further reduction in handicap for the next event.

Division 1 winner
The division split was at 17, and the winner of Division 1
was Mr Captain with 33 points off a handicap of 10.

Division 2 winner
The Division 2 winner was Ken Barnes with
36 points off a handicap of 21.

Twos, nearest the pin and longest drive
There were 2 twos one for Mark Saxon, and one for Nigel Milroy who was a guest.

Mark Saxon won the nearest the pin competition on the 8th.
