Rochdale - 30th August 2017

The fifth event of the 2017 season was for the Dave Johnson Trophy played over 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Rochdale Golf Club. There was a good turnout, with 23 society players competing for the trophy, plus two guests. There were a number of very good scores on the day, and the competition was decided by a card playoff.

Winners

		Overall winner Tim Spencer was the overall winner with 39 points playing offf a reduced handicap of 18. He beat George on a card play off, with 18 points on the back nine compared to George's 16 points.

Division 1 The division split was at 18, and the winner of Division 1 was Hamish MacKay with 35 points off a handicap of 16.		Division 2 Division 2 was won by George Maddison with 39 points off a handicap of 28. He had a magnificent 23 points going out, but unfortunately had two blobs in the last three holes.
