Chapel-en-le-Frith - 28th July 2022
The fifth event of the 2022 season was for the
Dave Johnson Trophy, an 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club. The conditions were quite favourable for playing golf. Although it was not gloriously sunny it was not hot but quite pleasant , there was litlle wind, and it did not rain. Scoring was quite low and the top scores were not as high as in recent events.

Overall winner
Paul MacDonald was the overall winner with 34 points off a playing handicap of 34.
He won by virtue of a card play off, having a better back nine of 18 points over Steve Shepherd's 17 points.

The division split was at 25, and the winner of Division 1
was Tim Spencer, with 30 points playing off 24.

Division 2 was won by Steve Shepherd with 34 points off a playing handcap of 28.

Tim Spencer very kindly donated bottles of wine for nearest the pin on the 4th, nearest the pin in two on the 14th,
and nearest the pin on the 16th.
The winners were Hamish, Brendon, and Chih. Unfortunately I didn't get decent pictures to show here.
