Astbury - 30th July 2026
The fifth event of the 2026 season was for the
Captains' Trophy, an 18 holes stableford off full handicap at Astbury.
The continuing warm conditions had dried the course out but the green were in good condition.
A couple of extra prizes had been put up by the Captain Ian Whelbourn. Nearest the PIN on Hole 4 and Hole 15 were both won by Nigel Ghani
A champagne moment prize was won by a guest - Paul Jones. The evening meal of roast chicken in mushroom sauce followed by Lemon Merangue Tart was enjoyed by all.
